About Me

Proud dog mom, free thinker, adjunct community college instructor, and most importantly, single mother by choice to twins. For two years, I utilized assisted reproductive technology (in vitro fertilization, due to PCOS and anovulation) with my own eggs and a willing to be known sperm donor (through a sperm bank) to try to become a mother. After 8 failed embryo transfers, I moved on to donated embryos. I became pregnant from my first donor embryo transfer. My pregnancy became high risk due to cervical incompetence. I delivered my boy/girl twins at 32 weeks and 4 days. We have an open relationship with the embryo donors, their son and daughter, and a group of donor siblings (the embryos were created with donor sperm). Supportive comments or questions are welcomed.
